In the developmental endeavours of this State, the Co-operation Department is considered as a powerful vehicle to reach its economic development initiatives right down to the grassroot level, both in rural and urban areas.
OBJECTIVES
The Co-operative Movement aims at all round economic and social development of smalland marginal farmers, artisans, handicraftsmen, women and members of weaker sections. Its main objective is to enhance income of the farmers and employment generation for the benefit of economically weaker sections of the community. People with limited resources participate in organized economic activities through Co-operative Society for the benefit of all participants through mutual sharing of management. The aim of Co-operative is self help through mutual help.
